Found an absolute beauty in dropped anchor campsite. Lovely friendly welcome from Debbie, large pitch complete with picnic bench and firepit. Showers and toilets lovely and clean with people respectfully clearing up after themselves too. Will definitely recommend.... thanks for a great weekend

Wonderful campsite: Spacious pitches; flat field with stunning views/sunsets; wild camping feel with great facilities; fire pits/picnic benches with every pitch; horse box shop with everything you need!; short walk to SWCoast Path; great location for Lizard and beyond. We had booked a nights stay as we were travelling Cornwall in a vw camper with friends we loved the site so much we cancelled our last place and stayed another night.. Debbie was amazing we loved all the personal touches even the loo… was super clean… being able to have a open fire and have marshmallows made our stay… we would highly recommend and we are definitely going to return. 
There’s a pub a walk away with amazing food and very accommodating.

Best campsite-great views

We had an incredible 4 nights at the dropped anchor after two weeks of walking the south west coast path. Debbie was more than accommodating and provided us with all the information we needed about the local area, such as directions on foot to porthleven and to Rinsey beach, as well as charging our phones and really kindly giving us some boiling water for tea in the evenings when we had run out of trangia fuel !! . We really appreciated the wonderful hot shower and gorgeous washroom/ bathroom too as well as the marvellous location - the starry nights were beautiful too ! Such a lovely vibe would definitely stay here again :)

Excellent

A small site with stunning views, close to the coastpath and within walking distance of Porthleven. It was so peaceful and quiet there, no sound of cars just birdsong. The bathroom / shower room feel like you're just in a normal bathroom, a lovely change to large toilet units you get at larger sites. Debbie was very friendly and helpful, and the personal touches around the site made it a particularly friendly and welcoming place to be. I can't recommend this site enough!

Best campsite great views

Lovely small campsite in an Ideal location, it has great facilities with a firepit included too with the pitch for campfires at night. Will definitely be coming again sometime.

Perfect end to a great camping holiday

Stopped at Dropped Anchor just for one night at the end of a weeks camping. Lovely site in a quiet secluded spot with beautiful sea views. Very spacious pitches with bench and option of a firepit. Debs the owner was lovely and keeps the shower, toilets and dish washer area spotlessly clean and a simple but clever booking system for the shower which worked really well. Also a little shop with some refreshments and hand made souvenirs to take home. The site is very dog friendly and Debs pair of golden retrievers offer a warm welcome in exchange for a bit of fuss. If you want a quiet camping holiday with picture postcard views then Dropped Anchor is well worth a visit.
